HISTORY OF ST.MICHAEL'S SCHOOL FOR GIRLS

St. Michael’s School - coeducational school - founded by eminent educationist and philanthropist, Mr. S.M. Chakravarti and Mrs. Jennifer Chakravarty, is committed to excellence in education since its inception in 1999. The school founders trace their illustrious education journey to the founding of Sunshine School in Kurseong, Darjeeling in 1973. Encouraged by parents to start a secondary school in Siliguri, they proceeded to found St. Michael’s School ( co-educational) in 1999, and St. Michael’s School for Girls in 2014. The school offers education from Nursery to Secondary level, grooming students every year to become leaders in various fields.​Ever since, the school has been furthering the cause of nation building in the emerging global scenario through its dedication in imparting rich and quality education. The excellent results that we have been able to bring about for successive years symbolizes that we make no compromises in reaching the top, instilling our students with an urge to reach the heights of success.
